Meet Our Therapists

Bobbie Flint, BScH, RMT, CDT, Death Doula

Bobbie has been practicing massage therapy since June 2013, and subsequently became an RMT instructor at Trillium College, where she completed her RMT education. It’s great to give back! She has been working as a Manual Lymph Drainage therapist since March 2016, and helps patients with swelling issues that can arise from surgery complications, infections, or other injuries. Now, she works passionately with many different patients and family members by physically relieving swelling and helping them adapt their lifestyles so that they are informed, empowered, and equipped with the tools to help manage their condition. She is also an ADP (Assisted Devices Program) authorizer for compression garments. Most recently, she obtained certification to work as a Death Doula, assisting patients and families through the end of life.

Her approach to massage therapy is to use techniques that relax tissues and promote healing. She supports the overall well-being of patients and works to connect with them to understand their goals and main concerns. Her goal is always to provide ongoing, preventative care to maintain peak condition and resilience to injury. She is often referred by family doctors, physiotherapists, chiropractors, orthopedic surgeons, and oncologists.

In 2018, she completed the Registered Holistic Nutrition program at the Canadian School of Natural Nutrition. Her understanding of nutrition, best lifestyle practices, and how to balance body systems have really helped to improve her own health and have complimented her love of gardening and cooking. She also loves riding bikes, half marathon training, yoga, jiu-jitsu, Settlers of Catan, and sharing laughs with her family.

Ryan Flint, RMT, Kumo Jiu Jitsu (4th Dan)

Ryan has a great deal of experience with treating athletes of all ages, up to college level and adults. He has created his own approach to balancing the body and uses a clinical, assessment-based approach. His techniques support the strengthening of weak areas, stretching tight areas, and facilitating more mobility overall. Furthermore, this approach is ideal for working in both private and open areas, as clients can be fully clothed throughout. Even better- no lotion or oil is used, so you are ready to go!

Ryan has been active in the jiu-jitsu community for the past 20 years, earning his 4th Degree Black Belt in 2023. He has trained with many professional MMA fighters such as Wanderlei Silva, Georges St Pierre, Joe Stevenson, Brandon Vera, and Ed Herman. As a therapist, jiu-jitsu, and massage therapy instructor, he can articulate ideas and theories so that students and patients can understand and retain what they’ve learned. Since becoming an RMT, he understands how much the art of Japanese Jiu Jitsu lends to the RMT profession. He feels particular strength in providing education about muscle and soft tissue functions, assessments, and treating/maintaining the same for optimal health and wellness.

Ryan always strives to help patients understand their individual physical state and empowers them by informing them of any assessment findings, relating them, offering suggestions, and providing treatments with confidence. He provides as much detail as possible so patients are well-informed and involved with their treatment plans.

He aims to help everyone with their goals while upholding the standards set by the College of Massage Therapists of Ontario.
